What brought you to do this work — your why / your values?
Opportunities like this are rare — truly a once-in-a-career moment. The chance to work with mission-aligned clients whose focus encompasses impact investing, and to join a firm built by someone deeply venerated within the investment space, was a no-brainer for me. These kinds of opportunities don’t come often; they are few and far between. I knew I had to take it. At my core, my mission has always been to be an impactful allocator — to help shape the flow of regenerative capital toward investments that drive social good. That mission perfectly mirrors the mission of Nubian Square Investment Advisors. We believe that capital can be a tool for equity, opportunity, and transformation, and we work every day to help our clients realize that vision.
For me, it’s not just about generating returns — it’s about creating lasting, meaningful impact through the thoughtful stewardship of capital. That alignment of purpose is what brought me here, and it’s what fuels my work every day.
What should someone know about you?
At my core, I believe in the power of perseverance, purpose, and service. I was raised to understand that nothing worthwhile comes without relentless hard work, and that mindset has shaped every chapter of my journey. I approach every client engagement, research project, and investment opportunity with a dogged determination to deliver excellence — not just because it’s expected, but because it’s a reflection of who I am. Beyond my professional commitments, service to others is central to my life. I proudly volunteer with organizations such as Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, where I serve on the Young Professional Advisory Board, helping to mentor the next generation of leaders. I am also deeply involved with the Morehouse College Alumni Association and Minds Matter DC, supporting college readiness initiatives for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. These experiences fuel my passion for building pathways to financial equity, opportunity, and lasting change.

What professional experiences help you thrive in your work with NSIA?
My professional journey has been defined by a deep commitment to thoughtful investing, manager diligence, and driving systemic change through capital allocation. Prior to joining Nubian Square Investment Advisors, I honed my skills in manager selection at Investure, LLC, where I conducted in-depth research and built relationships with top-tier investment managers across asset classes. Later, at Mercer Investments, I expanded my expertise into co-investments and secondary solutions, working alongside institutional clients to identify and execute compelling private markets opportunities. Today, I continue to build on that foundation through my participation with NSIA and my active involvement with groups like the Allocators Collective and other organizations focused on supporting diverse, emerging, and impact-driven managers. These experiences have given me a wide lens on the investment landscape and sharpened my ability to source, evaluate, and champion talent that aligns with our mission of advancing financial equity.
